The Land Between Two Rivers

Long ago,
Two ancient rivers began to flow,
Murky waters that glitter, and trickles over
Golden grains of sand below,
These tiny, sacred orbs of destiny
It is where the beauty of the sun beholds.
What is given is received,
where the river turns and slows,
its cascade shall proceed unimpeded,
as deposits come and go.
Two snakes meander and wander
like veins from the heart of the valley
feeding fertile lands that grow where
A herd of does prance in a bed of clovers,
Beneath wildflowers fawns lie low,
lost deep within the meadow,
yet still, they linger close,
Rivulets weave back and forth into eternity,
finding their way back to sea,
in a tireless search for Calypso,
Her gentle dance is as sweet as can be,
Just as the soft wind blows,
a pure lullaby of serenity,
a sensual trance has slowed.
Each night, cosmic rivers glow,
Mirrors the milky way above,
A constant stream
Where ancestors whisper,
and celestial stories are told.
