Pheonix

As the inferno ignites,
two halves of a soul reunite.
Light versus dark
almost tore us apart.
I saunter within the catacombs
of a heart that is lost and roams.
Shadows are chased away
by flames that guide me home.
Rhizomes, of a tree
buried deep within me,
climb up endlessly.
Ashes carried through the breeze,
stoke after stoke,
to higher realms and eternity.
Rivulets of ash melt,
As the true Pheonix glows.
Sweet nectar meanders fertile soil,
where jewels of the Nile shall grow.
Free spirits with a heart so whole,
kissed by the sun,
a fate so bold,
I let go.
